CARE of Wand Loosestrife (Lythrum):

This strong perennial plant has pink flower spikes that can grow up to a meter high and attract many bees and butterflies. Loosestrife thrives in both swampy and drier soil. A valuable plant in the perennial border that can be grown in both the sun and partial shade. 

The Lythrum requires little care. The plant often self-seeds without growing too much. The sturdy flower stems do not require support. In the spring, after frost, the dead foliage can be removed.
