CARE of Salvia:
Salvia is an easy compact growing plant that also flowers for a long time and forms neat clumps. The deep blue flowers are en masse in racemes or spikes on long hairy stems.
The aromatic leaf is long and narrow, lanceolate and finely serrated.
Cut out the spent stems after flowering to encourage new flowering.
Salvia is frost resistant but avoid too wet soil in winter.
It requires a humus-rich, well-drained soil and a sunny warm spot.
