CARE of Poison Primrose (Primula obconica):
This primula grows to about 30 cm high and wide and has fairly flat, 2.5 cm cheerful flowers. The colors are soft or bright and give you a really cheerful spring feeling. Together with the new flowers that are lighter, this gives a very nice effect, really beautiful to see! The serrated leaves are elliptical and light green. The leaves contrast nicely with the flowers. Primroses as houseplants fall under the category 'gift plants'.
Location: No full sun but plenty of light. Filtered sunlight. Flowering lasts longer in a cool room (12-15°C). In the summer it can be outside.
Water: Keep the potting soil moist, especially during the growing season, but avoid overwatering. It is best to place the plant on a tray in a heated room. Preferably use softened water.
Problems: If the leaf turns yellow, this may indicate a too dry and too warm location. It can also be caused by too hard irrigation water.
