CARE of Cape Primrose:
The streptocarpus has all velvety leaves. It has a kind of creeping runner where the flowers form on long stems. This means it can be combined very nicely in hanging baskets.
Watering: Water regularly but avoid wet feet. Do not water the leaves because they are sensitive to rot. During heavy rain showers, it is best to place the plant in a dry place to prevent damage to the velvety, hairy leaves and flowers. This plant especially needs warmth and should therefore be brought indoors in the autumn when the temperature drops below 15°C.
