CARE of Snake plant (Sansevieria):
They are plants that consume little water and therefore a plant species that is easy to maintain. The lady's tongue needs little water. It is therefore better for the plant when in doubt not to water as this can cause root rot.
In winter, the Sansevieria can go without water for 6 to 8 weeks. During the growing period (spring and summer) once every 2 weeks is sufficient. During a heat wave, the Sansevieria can have an extra watering.
Light and heat: The Sansevieria does not make high demands on the light intensity. You can place the succulent in a sunny spot or in a place further from the window. A distance of more than 4 meters from the window is not recommended.
When the Sansevieria is further away from the window, the water requirement will be less and the plant will grow less quickly than in a sunny spot in front of the window. In a sunny spot, the leaf will also become lighter in color. In a place a bit further from the window, the leaf becomes darker. That is why it is nicer for some species, if they are just a little further from the window, to keep their dark color.
