CARE of Lily of the Nile (Agapanthus):
The Agapanthus, also called Lily of the Nile, is a real sun worshipper.
The plant is not the most difficult to care for. The lily that has been placed in the ground does not require much care. The plant needs nutrition to produce flowers. Therefore, during the growing period, give extra fertilizer once before flowering and once after flowering. When the plant is in nutrient-poor soil, we also recommend applying extra fertilizer during the flowering period.
Did you put the lily in a pot? Then we advise you to fertilize extra when the first leaf nodes can be seen. It is also good to give the plant extra water once a week from this moment on, this is especially important when the plant is on the balcony. Please note that the plant does not like wet feet. That is why we recommend using a flower pot with a drainage hole, so that the excess water can drain.
