CARE of Althaea bush (Hibiscus Xxl):

Hibiscus stands out because of the large, round flowers that appear in the months of July and August. The flowers can reach a diameter of 15 to 20 centimeters. This species will partially die after flowering, after which the plant will sprout again in the spring.

Note that the height of this plant can reach 1.5 meters.

The Chinese rose is fairly hardy in Belgium, but in case of severe frost (-10 degrees Celsius) it is advisable to protect the garden plant. This is best done by covering the plant with straw or fallen leaves. After the frost period, you can prune the plant and cut off the withered leaves. When purchasing it is possible to place the plant in a pot. After flowering, the plant can be placed in the ground.
