CARE of Bromelia Guzmania Rockyflower red:
Place the Rockyflower in a well-lit place in the house, away from direct afternoon sun. Water this plant in the calyx, which is the heart of the plant from which the flower grows. From this heart the plant feeds itself. When the water is no longer visible in the tube of the leaves, the plant needs to be watered again. Their tropical roots make Rockyflowers excellent survivors, so they require little maintenance. Rockyflowers provide flowering pleasure for an average of 3-6 months!
Nice to know: Once the Bromelia loses its color and turns brown, it slowly dies. Time for a new one because a Bromelia only blooms once. It often happens that you see cuttings appearing next to the Bromelia after flowering. Let these continue to grow until they are as high as half the size of the mother plant. Water the new plants in the calyx and after two weeks place them with the roots in their own pot. This way you can grow it into an adult plant. If the small plants do not yet have roots, you can place them with their bottoms in water until a root becomes visible. It takes a year before the plant is ready to bloom. Then imitate nature... Place a piece of ripe apple in the heart of the plant, cover the plant with a plastic bag and seal it. Allow the apple to ripen on the plant for three weeks. A new flower will emerge after eight to sixteen weeks!!
