CARE of Bromelia Guzmania Calypso:
Place the Guzmania in a well-lit place in the house, away from direct afternoon sun. Water this plant in the calyx, which is the heart of the plant from which the flower grows. From this heart the plant feeds itself. When the water is no longer visible in the tube of the leaves, the plant needs to be watered again. Their tropical roots make Guzmanias excellent survivors, so they require little maintenance. Guzmanias provide flowering pleasure for an average of 3-6 months!
Nice to know: If you want to pamper a Guzmania extra on a very hot day, grab the plant sprayer and spray the flower and leaves. Just like in the tropics, the plant gets a little cooling. You can also place the growing pot on a bowl of water and let the water around the plant evaporate. In nature, the Bromeliad also extracts moisture and nutrition from the air with its leaves.
