CARE of Lily of the Valley (Convallaria):
Convallaria majalis or Lily of the Valley or Maybell is a low-growing, colony-forming perennial plant with bright green lanceolate leaves and pleasantly scented white waxy flowers that hang in clusters from the flower stem during the months of April and May. Convallaria likes a position in partial shade, shade or filtered sunlight under trees or shrubs and requires a soil with a neutral to acidic pH. The plant is very hardy, attracts butterflies and bees, is pest-free and reasonably tolerant of air pollution.
