CARE for the Cyclamen:
The Cyclamen, also known as Alpine Violet, is a robust tuberous plant that rewards you with an abundance of flowers – sometimes up to ten at once! Flowers appear in elegant shades of white, lilac, pink, purple, or red, while the leaves are equally charming: velvety with attractive patterns and often a purplish underside.
Key care tips:
-
Location: Place your Cyclamen in a bright, cool spot (13–16°C). Avoid direct sunlight and keep away from hot radiators.
-
Watering: Water from the bottom. Place the pot in a shallow dish or water bath once a week and allow the plant to absorb water for about an hour. Remove excess water to prevent root rot.
-
Feeding: Provide liquid fertilizer for flowering plants every two to three weeks to encourage abundant blooms.
-
Outdoor placement: Can be placed outdoors in a sheltered spot as long as there is no frost. Bring it back inside during night frost.
-
Encouraging blooms: Remove faded flowers and yellow leaves by gently pulling them from the base. This stimulates new blooms.
The Cyclamen is a beautiful, low-maintenance houseplant that brings color and elegance to your home, indoors or temporarily outdoors.
