CARE of Poison Primrose (Primula):

This primula grows to about 30 cm high and wide and has fairly flat, 2.5 cm large flowers with a yellow eye and colors that vary from white to pink and purple. The serrate leaves are elliptical and light green. The leaves contrast nicely with the flowers. Primroses as houseplants fall under the category 'gift plants'.

Location: No full sun but plenty of light. Filtered sunlight. Flowering lasts longer in a cool room (12-15°C). In the summer it can be outside.

Water: Keep the potting soil moist, especially during the growing season, but avoid overwatering. It is best to place the plant on a tray in a heated room. Preferably use softened water.

Problems: If the leaf turns yellow, this may indicate a too dry and too warm location. It can also be caused by too hard irrigation water.
