CARE of Golden barrel cactus (Echinocactus):

What makes the cactus so hip is that in combination with a beautiful pot it is a real eye-catcher. It is also fun to combine different cacti. Cacti are graceful and sturdy at the same time!

Cacti are known for their -apparent- immortality. Where you place the cactus does not matter much. This plant does adapt. During the rest period (November - March) you should barely water a cactus. Allow the soil to dry out before watering it. Cacti are sensitive to too much water, so provide small amounts.

Please note: cacti are very sensitive to the risk of rotting the roots. Always make sure that the water can drain away. Watering once a month is also better than every week: the root ball is allowed to dry out.
