CARE of Paddle plant (Kalanchoe Thyrsiflora):
Location: The Kalanchoe thyrsiflora, also called Paddle plant, likes to have a very sunny spot at its disposal. The more sunlight it gets, the redder the hue of its thick, fleshy leaves. This contrasts nicely with the otherwise grey-green color of the leaves. Over time, the plant forms a rosette and grows in height.
Dry air is not a problem for this plant, so you can easily place it near the heating. Also on a window sill above the radiator is no problem.
Turn the plant a quarter turn every so often, so that it does not grow to one side.
Watering: This succulent plant stores water in its leaves, keeping its water needs low. Watering once every 2 weeks is desirable in the summer months and once a month during the winter months. Avoid pouring water on the plant itself, but water on the soil. When the leaves are wet, the powdery appearance of the grey-white leaves temporarily disappears. The only way to destroy this strong plant is to water it too much. If the plant is too wet for too long, it will wither away.
