CARE of Coral moss (Nertera):
Nertera is a turf-forming plant with underground stems and round leaves. It is not a type of moss as the Dutch name suggests. Tiny gray-white flowers form in the spring, which are followed in the fall by bright orange berries that form a cushion, as it were.
Location: Not full sun, but plenty of light. Do not place too hot, about 16°C and a maximum of 20°C. Overwintering is possible at 12°C (period from October to February). During this period the plant needs less water.
Keep water: evenly moist in summer, preferably leaving a constant 1 to 2 cm of water in a saucer. The main danger with this plant is dehydration, NEVER let the potting soil dry out. Always water from below and ensure that no water gets on the berries.
