CARE of Calla Lily (Zantedeschia):
The Calla is a classic beauty with its colored calyxes, African roots and sunny character. The Zantedeschia is classic, but also has something sturdy and therefore fits well in different interior styles, it just depends on which pot you choose! The leaves and calyxes of the Calla are proudly raised and the plant usually has a height of 40 to 55 centimeters. The arrow-shaped leaves are bright green, between which stems with funnel-shaped bracts emerge.
The Calla is a flowering houseplant and is also called Zantedeschia. It is a real must-have. The Calla is a member of the arum family, which is why the desert plant has a third well-known name, namely the arum. The Calla is a popular houseplant because of its beautiful colors and has its roots in the equally beautiful South Africa.
Care
Provide regular water and fertilizer during the growth and flowering period. Make sure it is not too dry, but not too wet either, because then the tuber can rot. Leave bracts that turn green, but remove them if they turn brown. Place the pot in a bright, fairly warm place. Replace the potting soil in the pot after the growing season. When it has finished blooming, place it in a sunny spot in the garden.
