CARE Poinsettia (Euphorbia):

The poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima) is the classic Christmas plant that brings color and festive atmosphere into your home during the winter months. With proper care, you can enjoy its beautiful red, white, or pink bracts for 2 to 6 months.

Temperature

• Ideal: 15–18°C

• Not below 12°C, not above 20°C

• Avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes

• If the plant suddenly loses leaves without wilting, this is often a sign of too low temperature or drafts

Light

• Place the poinsettia in a bright location

• Avoid direct harsh sunlight

• In winter, more light is better

Watering

• Water generously with lukewarm water

• Wait to water again until the top layer of soil feels dry

• Always remove excess water from decorative pots or saucers: the poinsettia does not tolerate waterlogged roots

• A pot that remains too wet can cause leaves to wilt and fall prematurely

With proper care, poinsettias can easily retain their colored bracts for 2 to 6 months.
