Who is the face behind Firenze?
I’m Annelies, the owner and the proud face behind Firenze Flower Studio. For over 15 years, I’ve been taking my customers on a journey through the beautiful world of flowers and plants. For me, a bouquet is much more than just a product; it’s the ultimate way to convey your feelings, support, or happiness. Whether it’s a vibrant birthday or a modest farewell, every floral arrangement receives my full attention.
Why the name Firenze?
The name Firenze wasn't chosen by chance. In Latin, 'Florentia' literally means bloom. Additionally, Firenze is the name of a stunning variety of the Alstroemeria. This flower, also known as the Peruvian Lily, symbolizes long-lasting friendship, with values like understanding, patience, and respect.
The Alstroemeria might look fragile and elegant, but appearances can be deceiving: it’s one of the strongest flowers we know. A high-quality Alstroemeria can stay radiant in your vase for up to two weeks. This is exactly the philosophy of my studio: our flowers shouldn’t just be beautiful the moment the doorbell rings, but should continue to shine in your interior days later.
Our passion and workflow in Kalmthout
My workday often begins while most people in Kalmthout are still fast asleep. While the dew is still on the fields, I’m already at the auction. Why? Because the early morning is when you find the most beautiful gems. I don’t just select flowers by color; I feel the buds and check the strength of the stems. Only the flowers that pass the 'Firenze quality check' make it to our studio in the Heidestatiestraat.
- Handcrafted: All bouquets are cleaned and arranged by hand in our own studio. You’ll always receive a unique piece, put together with care.
- Local: As your local florist in Kalmthout, we often deliver your order or flower subscription to your doorstep ourselves. This ensures the flowers arrive in top condition so you can enjoy their color and fragrance immediately.
